Horizontal, Vertical and Inclined Lines
Control horizontal and vertical lines separately with the H and V buttons. Use slope mode when your layout calls for an inclined reference rather than a level line. Adjust line width and brightness directly from the instrument to suit the task and viewing conditions.
- Horizontal line: press H to switch the horizontal line on or off.
- Vertical line: press V to switch the vertical line on or off.
- Slope mode: press the center slope button for approximately one second to activate inclined-line mode; repeat to turn it off.
- Finer line: hold V to reduce line width.
- Brighter line: hold H to increase brightness.
Battery Level at a Glance
The digital display shows the battery level as a percentage, making it easy to check power during setup and use. A removable, side-mounted lithium battery pack provides convenient access for changing the battery. The display, touch controls and bubble vial are grouped together on top of the device.
Adjustable Setup and Bracket Mounting
Three adjustable feet and a graduated base help you position the instrument. Use the built-in bubble vial during setup and the side adjustment controls to refine its position. The threaded mounting point on the underside supports bracket mounting, while the wrist strap and molded carry case make the kit convenient to carry between jobs.

Getting Started
- Position the instrument on a stable surface or secure it with the mounting bracket.
- Adjust the feet and use the bubble vial to check its position.
- Select the horizontal or vertical line with the H and V controls.
- Adjust line width and brightness for your layout, or select slope mode for an inclined reference.
Line visibility depends on ambient light and the target surface. Direct sunlight can reduce the visible range; working-distance options do not indicate naked-eye visibility in every lighting condition.
Laser safety: never look directly into the beam or point it at another person. Laser-viewing glasses are not protective eyewear. Read the included operating instructions before use.
